Our Clean Campaign Pledge
Written by admin on September 25th, 2007On Friday, September 21st, Director Lou Spadaccini mailed a letter to Deputy Mayor Lisa P. O’Neill informing her that the Republican candidates for the Manchester Board of Directors pledge to run a Clean Campaign this fall and asking Deputy Mayor O’Neill to commit her team to the same pledge.
In the letter to Director O’Neill, Spadaccini wrote, “I, on behalf of our Republican candidates for the Board of Directors, look forward to having a positive conversation with you and the voters about the future of Manchester.” Further in the body of the letter, Director Spadaccini pledges to not wage a campaign of ad hominem insults on Deputy Mayor O’Neill and her counterparts.
At the end of the letter, Director Spadaccini summarizes, “We, like you, wish only to improve Manchester and make it a better place to live for all of our fellow citizens. I hope you will join us in the ‘Clean Campaign Pledge’.”
The Republican candidates for the Manchester Board of Directors anxiously await the response of the Deputy Mayor and strongly urge her to join the Republican team in this Pledge.
