Republicans Called to Special Meeting

Please Note the Changed Date!  The RTC Special Meeting, originally slated for 3/25/08, will now be held on Monday, March 31, 2008, at 7pm at the Lincoln Center Hearing Room. 

All Republican Town Committee Members in Manchester are called to attend the delegate nominating convention on March 31, 2008, at 7pm, at the Lincoln Center Hearing Room.  We are required by Connecticut Republican State Party Bylaws to select delegates who will represent them at the Nominating Conventions. 

Delegates will be selected to attend each of the following three conventions:

First Congressional District - 16 Delegates from Manchester will be called to nominate a Republican candidate to run in the First Congressional District.  The Convention will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2008.  The location and time has not yet been set.  West Hartford Town Councilor Joseph Visconti has announced his intention to seek the nomination.

Fourth Senatorial District - 16 Delegates from Manchester are called to nominate a Republican candidate to run in the Fourth Senatorial District.  The Convention will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.  Location and time has not yet been set.  Manchester resident David Blackwell has announced his intention to seek the nomination.

Ninth Legislative District - 4 Delegates from Manchester will be called to nominate a Republican candidate to run in the 9th Legislative District, which is made up of the towns of East Hartford, Glastonbury, and Districts 4 & 9 in Manchester.  The Convention will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, time and location to be determined.
